About Sydney
Growing up in a small town, I never really thought that I'd end up in Vancouver pursuing my passion. The first play I had ever been in I was just a "student with no lines" and the next fall I was playing Helena, a vixen, in Dracula. I knew then that all I wanted to do was be an actor. When I was 14, I had the amazing opportunity to play the lead role in our one-act play that we took to the Alberta Drama Festival. We won Best Production and I won Best Actress; it was probably one of the best nights of my life! In 2016 my school's fall production was Robin Hood, and I was the iconic Will Scarlett- mustache and all!
August 2016, my family moved to Vancouver Island. It was terrifying to leave everything I had known behind, but in the end it was the best move ever! I graduated high school with honours and I was on my way to Vancouver to attend VanArts for Acting. I made incredible friends there and we had wonderful times with our two short films and three plays. I graduated in August 2019 with honours, and I'm ecstatic to be able to do what I love professionally.
I moved to Victoria in 2021, and I love it here! The people are so incredible and encouraging, I couldn't ask for a better film community!
Thank you to my amazing family for always supporting me and pushing me to take chances. I love y'all so much!!
